Rock Painting

July 21, 2018

The art activity for July 21st was led by one of our youth artists Karden Marceau. The activity was to paint rocks as plants and vegetables to represent the natural world. The rocks then served for the participants to take home. In a world full of materials (like plastic) we sometimes forget about the natural world and how our actions affect it. This activity was a hit for children as many painted multiple rocks, for instance, one child painted six rocks! We had a lot of visitors but after 2pm, our crowd started to die down and the wind picked up. It was a good thing the activity involved rocks because they did not blow away.
